Our story begins not in a factory, but on a rugged, misty morning in 1916, in a small village in the heart of Transylvania. While the world was at war, my great-grandmother did what generations before her had done: preserving life. She captured the wild, resilient yeasts from the Carpathian air and nurtured them with pure, stone-ground Romanian flour.

This wasn’t just a sourdough starter; it was a promise of warm bread on the table. It was a legacy. She named it "Vatra".

For over 109 years, Vatra has been passed down through our family. It survived harsh winters and celebrated countless family gatherings. It’s the secret behind the bread I grew up with—the bread my children now ask for by name.

    Am cumparat maia uscata, dupa ce am esuat anul trecut in crestere unui starter de maia de la inceput si paine nu iesea deloc cu ce descrieri vedeam pe internet. Dupa un an de la dezamagire am inceput sa vad reclame despre maiaua uscata si m-am gandit ca poate o sa incerc intr-o zi sa vad poate e diferit. Asa am ramas cu gandul ca pana la urma am comandat si m-am apucat de treaba. Azi am si copt prima paine, a iesit ceea ce vedeam pe internet, in sfarsit. Multumesc!

    Intocmai descrierii, maiaua a inviat dupa cateva zile. Am utilizat instructiunile date nu chiar intocmai dar tot a iesit. Recomand.

    Este exact ca in descriere, o calitate foarte buna, iar instructiunile la livrare sunt foarte exacte ceea ce face procedura mai usoara fara stres sau frica ca nu va fi ok.
